- Subject Line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your registered email address (the email associated with your Hype Manager account).
- Your full name as it appears on your account.
- Scope of deletion: Whether you want a full account deletion (all data) or deletion of specific data categories.

4. Processing Timeline
We are committed to processing your data deletion request promptly:
- Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your deletion request within 3 business days.
- Identity Verification: If additional verification is required, we will contact you within 5 business days of receiving your request.
- Processing: Your data will be deleted within 30 calendar days of receiving a verified deletion request, in compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been successfully deleted.
5. What Happens After Deletion
Once your data deletion request has been processed:
5.1 Account Removal
- Your account will be permanently deactivated and removed from our system.
- You will no longer be able to log in to Hype Manager using your previous credentials.
- Any active sessions will be terminated immediately.
5.2 Content Removal
- All projects, topics, and AI-generated content will be permanently deleted from our database.
- Uploaded files (avatars, project logos) will be permanently removed from our file storage.
- Content that has already been published to external social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook) will not be deleted from those platforms. You must remove published content directly from the respective social media platforms.
5.3 OAuth Token Revocation
- All stored LinkedIn and Facebook OAuth tokens will be deleted from our database.
- We will make reasonable efforts to revoke active tokens with the respective platforms where technically feasible.
- We recommend that you also revoke Hype Manager's access from your LinkedIn and Facebook account settings independently for complete security.
5.4 Backup Systems
- Data stored in automated database backups may persist for up to 30 additional days after deletion from the primary database, after which backup copies are permanently purged.
6. Exceptions to Deletion
In certain circumstances, we may be unable to delete some or all of your data. Exceptions include:
- Legal Obligations: We may retain certain data if required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal proceedings (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention, or court orders).
- Legitimate Interests: Data necessary to protect our legal rights, enforce our Terms of Service, or resolve disputes may be retained until the relevant purpose is fulfilled.
- Aggregated or Anonymized Data: Data that has been fully anonymized and can no longer be associated with you may be retained for analytical and statistical purposes, as it no longer constitutes personal data under GDPR.
- Active Contractual Obligations: If you have an active subscription or outstanding contractual obligations, we may need to retain certain account data until those obligations are fulfilled.
If any exception applies to your deletion request, we will inform you of the specific reasons, the legal basis for retention, and the expected retention period.
7. Third-Party Data Deletion
When we delete your data, we will also take the following steps regarding third-party services:
- Social Media Platforms: We will delete OAuth tokens and integration data stored in our systems. Content published to LinkedIn or Facebook remains on those platforms and must be managed by you directly.
- AI Service Providers: Content generation requests sent to OpenAI or DeepSeek during your use of the platform are subject to those providers' own data retention policies. We do not have the ability to delete data held by these third-party AI providers.
- Email Service Provider: Transactional email records held by SendGrid are subject to SendGrid's data retention policies.
8. Re-Registration After Deletion
If you choose to use Hype Manager again after your data has been deleted:
- You will need to create a new account from scratch.
- No previously deleted data can be restored or recovered.
- You will need to re-authorize any social media integrations.
9. Facebook and LinkedIn Platform Requirements
In compliance with Facebook and LinkedIn platform policies, we provide this data deletion mechanism to ensure that users who have authenticated or shared content through these platforms can request complete removal of their data from our systems. This policy serves as our official data deletion callback documentation for platform compliance reviews.
